Snakes. After the Corona break, the Kneipp Association in Schlangen was able to hold its annual general meeting again. First President Hilde Räker reported on the healing powers of nature. Even the famous pastor and naturopath Sebastian Knipp in the 19th century recognized that self-care and listening to one’s body are basic requirements for a healthy mind and body.
Conscious nutrition, exercise in the fresh air, the healing power of water and herbs – in accordance with internal balance – are the five pillars of holistic therapy according to Sebastian Kneipp. Last year, the 200th birthday of the famous naturopath was celebrated. One more reason to face today’s challenges on the basis of this knowledge, in order to recognize in the times of the pandemic that Sebastian Kneipp was a very far-sighted and progressive man. Living a life in balance with nature – simple, holistic and healthy.
Hilde Räker writes in a press release: “We want to make Pastor Sebastian Kneipp’s teachings accessible to everyone, strengthen public health and encourage personal initiative.” Looking back on the past two years and reviewing possible activities in 2022, she explained how important it is, especially in difficult times, to maintain the association, cultivate common points and fight for its continued existence.

Hilde Räker reported on other events and activities this year and concluded: “My wish is that members actively apply Kneipp’s teachings in their daily lives. I want to infect as many people as possible so that they understand that health is the power of fun.”
